Neko Case Announces 'Hell-On'!

The fiery Neko Case returns with her newest album, Hell-On, on June 1st! It's her first album in five years, even though she has been busy with the case/lang/veirs collaboration and her work with The New Pornographers in that time. Still, it's nice to hear a solo Neko track once again, and one that showcases how strong her songwriting and production skills are. The first single from the album is the title track, and it's also the opener of the album. The instrumentals give me a bit of a Tom Waits vibe, but with that classic voice soaring over top. It possesses a bit of a whimsical quality, almost like it belongs with a fairy tale or soundtrack of some kind. Either way, it's a delight.
