Kimbra Announces 'Primal Heart'!

An absolute favourite of mine, Kimbra has finally announced that her new album will be titled Primal Heart and will be releasing January 19th, 2018! The album features the production talents of John Congleton, Skrillex, and Kimbra herself, so it should be quite a vibrant sounding record. It's already proving to be an aural feast based on the two songs released thus far, so we should be in for quite a treat with the rest of the album.

With the two new songs, Top Of The World and Everybody Knows, we hear a more vulnerable, raw, emotional, and soulful Kimbra. That's not to say that she hasn't sounded like this before. However, these two new songs seem to be going a bit further into Kimbra's maturity. They are showcasing a true progression of herself as an artist and, more importantly, as a woman. I don't know about the rest of you, but there have been some ridiculously powerful records coming from female voices this year, and it seems that 2018 will be no different. It's a pleasure to hear.
