Chelsea Wolfe Brings The Doom With 'Hiss Spun'!

After her wonderfully dark Abyss, Chelsea Wolfe is once again bringing the doom and gloom with her newest album, Hiss Spun. But it seems to be a little bit different this time around. Wolfe is going full-on with metallic influences as this newest effort is produced by Kurt Ballou, the guitarist for the band Converge. She has also enlisted guest performances from guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens Of The Stone Age) as well as Aaron Turner (Sumac, Isis), which will provide some serious punch. These choices will undoubtedly bring a heavier sound to Chelsea's already doomy sound, which is all the more apparent in her newest single, 16 Psyche. It's already one of my favourite singles of the year, and I love how her work is progressing into a full, heavy, engrossing kind of sound. I'm just sad we have to wait until September for the whole record!
