Kendrick Lamar Roars Back With 'The Heart Part 4'!

The Compton MC has been holed up in the studio working on a follow-up to 2015's masterful To Pimp A Butterfly. However, I didn't think we'd hear from him so soon, so I'm ecstatic that he is back with his new song, The Heart Part 4! Now, the track itself doesn't feel like it's going to be an album track, as it seems more like a hype/diss track. Who he's dissing, I don't really know. But, I do know that he reveals the date of April 7th at the end of the track.

The popular theory right now is that Kendrick will indeed be dropping a new album on April 7th, which is beyond exciting! Especially considering we just got To Pimp A Butterfly and untitled unmastered in that last two years. Still, it remains to be seen if this is the case. I guess we will see? It should be noted that the last time Kendrick dropped a "Heart" track was with The Heart Part 3, which he used to announce the release date of good kid, m.A.A.d city in 2012 (October 22nd). So, it's looking good!

As for the track itself, it is Kendrick doing what Kendrick does best. Even for a hype/diss track, it is ridiculously good. There are a few beat changes, and flow changes that go along with them. It has twists and turns, and will ultimately leave you pretty floored if you're a fan of rap. I'm excited to see if Kendrick does drop his new album on April 7th, but I guess time will tell!
