A Kimbra Celebration! - Part Six: Moving In The Atmosphere

There are so many different places you could go with Kimbra after the release of Vows. She didn't waste any time writing new material, but that will be the focus after this entry. For now, I want to explore another significant aspect of her career: her live show. We've seen some of her older live performances prior to the release of her album, and I did preview a couple of examples of her in-studio shows. But with an entire album of songs to perform, Kimbra took Vows on the road and showed exactly how she takes control of the stage.

I talked about Kimbra and her tambourine in Part Five of my celebration, and you'll see that it acts as a sort of lightning rod for her performances. It's an extension of her body, which is always moving and exuding a vibrant energy. That's always been the key with Kimbra: her energy and enthusiasm. In live performances, if the artist is feeling the music and is sincerely enjoying every single movement, then the crowd will feel the same way and pick up on it. This is what Kimbra does with her music.

I believe that a good artist can always make good music. But a great artist will always bring enthusiasm to both their music and their live shows. It's a mark of confidence and will never leave anyone disappointed. It's important to emphasize this because Kimbra has always taken care of each of these elements, and in genuine fashion.

With every movement, intense look, great big smile, and funky outfit, Kimbra takes an audience and fascinates them. Her performances are hypnotizing and just plain fun to experience. Although I'm talking about her performances from touring Vows, you don't have to worry. Kimbra is still putting on dazzling performances in 2016, and I'm sure will continue to do so.

We're winding down with the celebration of Kimbra and her music, but we still have a significant portion to cover going into 2014, her second LP, and the future of her musical career. I can't wait to dive right in, and I hope you're along for the ride!
